Blathersmith

The torturers came up with a game they introduced to me. It’s actually a computer program for seeking out the meaning of words that the computer can’t immediately identify. Here’s how it goes:

Blathersmith: A person who is skilled in nonsensical conversation.

Root words) Blather: talking nonsense. Smith: creator, master.

How you play the game: present your opponent with a nonsense compound word like blathersmith. Your opponent must give the definition for the word. Example: Trucket: the field of cars sitting at a Dodge truck dealership. Root words) truck and thicket.

The computer seeks out the definition of words through its own dictionary. Neither of the roots words are correctly defined. The person who created the computer’s dictionary was good but not an expert. This game reveals how the computer functions. It shows me what its “thinking” process is.
